Lyons, a retired Army Veteran with 20 years of service, is the former executive director for the Cayuga Community Health Network and award-winning local musician. His previous roles include director of sales and marketing for two local hotels and The Onondaga Nation area; recruiting supervisor for Onondaga Community College; Onondaga County human rights commissioner; the first executive director of The Native American Service Agency; and founder of Lyons Diversity and Teambuilding. Lyons also produces the annual Stage of Nations festival in Hanover Square. Oppedisano is the former managing editor of Syracuse Woman Magazine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. DeCarolis Truck Rental, Inc. has promoted two long-term executives. MICHAEL J. MARGARONE, president since 2009, has been named president and CEO. MARK C. WILLIAMS, VP of finance since 2008, has been named VP and chief financial officer.
Margarone has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Tampa. He joined the firm 30 years ago and performed in previous positions as lease account salesperson, branch manager, VP of sales, and executive VP. Margarone currently manages the executive team. He has vast transportation industry experience and has served on the board of The Trucking Association of New York and the Rochester Transportation Council.
Williams, who joined DeCarolis in 1988, graduated from St. John Fisher College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance. He has had wide-ranging and increasing levels of responsibility and now heads finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, legal, and the administrative departments.
