MPW Marketing recently hired online specialist ADAM LAFOUNTAIN and finance manager SCOTT WILLIAMS.
LaFountain comes to MPW with a strong background in digital marketing. Prior to joining MPW, he was a digital-marketing specialist at Adworkshop in Lake Placid for three years, and a media coordinator for one year. LaFountain also held roles as digital coordinator and digital sales supervisor at the Observer-Dispatch in Utica for nearly two years, where he built skills in digital advertising and managing digital-marketing budgets.
Williams comes to MPW with more than two decades of experience in management and finance. He previously was executive VP at the Utica School of Commerce, where he was responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations. During his 20-year career there, Williams also held roles as dean of students and academic dean.

Herkimer County Community College has hired JEREMY PIETRUCH as a math specialist in the college’s Academic Support Center (ASC). He earned two bachelor’s degrees from SUNY Oswego in mathematics and secondary education: mathematics, before going on to earn a master’s degree in accountancy from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in December 2019. Pietruch was already familiar on campus, having previously worked in the ASC as a part-time math tutor. He also has experience working in the Utica City School District as a homebound instructor, providing one-on-one tutoring to students, and as a substitute teacher at the middle school and high-school levels.

JEFF LEPAK, who previously spent three seasons on the Syracuse University football staff, has rejoined the program as an offensive analyst. He most recently was the inside receivers coach for McNeese State in 2019. He held multiple positions during his first stint with the Orange. LePak was hired as Syracuse’s operations and recruiting assistant in February 2016. Later that year, he became the program’s special teams quality control coach, a position he held through the end of the 2018 season. As a player, LePak was a star tight end for Coach Dino Babers at Eastern Illinois, after having started his career as a wide receiver at Baylor from 2010-12 before transferring. LePak started his coaching career as a graduate assistant under Babers at Bowling Green in 2015. He worked with the team’s tight ends and was part of a staff that led the Falcons to the Mid-American Conference title and a berth in the GoDaddy Bowl. LePak graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois in 2014.
