SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse University men’s basketball team will host the Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2019 Big 10/ACC Challenge on Dec. 3 in the Carrier Dome, the universities and conferences announced Thursday.
The Orange have posted a 3-3 record in six Big 10/ACC Challenge appearances, starting in 2013, when they joined the ACC. Syracuse has put up back-to-back victories against Maryland (72-70) and at Ohio State (72-62) in the challenge in the last two seasons. The Cuse is 2-1 in Carrier Dome matchups in the event, with wins over Indiana and Maryland, but a loss to Wisconsin.
Iowa is 6-12 in 18 appearances in the Big 10/ACC Challenge, which started in 1999. The Hawkeyes are 1-7 in road games in the challenge.
