MAINE, N.Y. — The Greater Binghamton Air Show is returning in June, officials announced March 19.
The one-day air show will be held June 23 at Greater Binghamton Airport in the town of Maine, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar said at a press conference.
The air show was last held in 2014 when some 12,000 people attended.
The Army’s Golden Knights Parachute Team and the Air Force A-10 Demonstration Team are scheduled to participate. Also expected at the show is a World War II-vintage P-51 Mustang that will fly in formation with a modern A-10 Thunderbolt.
This year’s show is sponsored by Tioga Downs.
“The Air Show is a beloved tradition with a great deal of local history in the Southern Tier. Assisting with wonderful events like this is our way of saying thank you to the community that’s so graciously welcomed and supported Tioga Downs Casino Resort since we opened in 2006,” said Jeff Gural, owner of Tioga Downs.
The county said information on tickets, parking, and aircraft displays will be announced in the coming weeks.
