CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Syracuse basketball (16-13, 9-9 ACC) looks to rebound from a painful loss when the Orange visit the rival Boston College Eagles (13-16, 7-11 ACC) on Tuesday night.
The game tips off just after 7 p.m. at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and will be televised on ESPN2. You can also stream it through the ESPN app. Dave O’Brien, Corey Alexander, and Katie George will be the announcing crew.
Syracuse, No. 71 in the NCAA’s NET Ratings, is coming off a 92-79 loss to conference cellar dweller North Carolina in its home finale. The more talented Tar Heels, finally at full strength after a season full of injuries, dominated the Orange from start to finish, doing whatever they wanted on offense.

Syracuse must now regroup in order to secure a bid to the National Invitational Tournament, or NIT. The Orange probably need two more wins altogether, and they have two regular-season games and the ACC Tournament in which to get those victories.
Boston College, ranked 149th in NET, enters the Syracuse game off a bye last weekend. The Eagles were previously in action last Wednesday night, dropping a 62-61 buzzer beater at home to Notre Dame. BC has lost three straight games and four of five.
Tuesday’s contest is the 77th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Boston College, with the Orange leading the series 50-26, including a 10-3 lead since joining the ACC six years ago. Syracuse has won the last three matchups against the Eagles, including a 76-50 victory in their Jan. 15 meeting at the Dome.
ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index (BPI) gives the Orange a 71.3 percent chance of beating the Eagles. The projected point differential is 5.8 points.
