UTICA, N.Y. — The City of Utica and the John E. Creedon Police Benevolent Association (PBA) reached a new five-year agreement approved by the Board of Estimate and Apportionment on Monday.
The agreement, which is retroactive back to 2021, provides an average salary increase of 3.2 percent annually over the five-year period and also increases the tuition-reimbursement fund for Utica Police Department personnel who pursue higher education.
“I thank PBA President Josh Harrington for working collaboratively with the administration on behalf of his membership,” Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri said in a press release. “By engaging in substantive dialogue, the city and PBA were able to come to an amicable resolution which will benefit both parties.”
