ITHACA, N.Y. — The Tompkins County Tourism Program is accepting applications for its fall 2025 funding rounds from two of its established grant programs designed to enhance the county’s tourism sector and support community celebrations.
The program has nearly $45,000 in total funding available for this round for activities taking place between November 2025 and October 2026.
“These grants play a vital role in supporting our local communities while strengthening Tompkins County’s position as a destination,” Tompkins County Tourism Program Director Nick Helmholdt said in a grant announcement. “We encourage eligible organizations to consider how these funds can help bring their vision for community celebrations and tourism initiatives to life.”

Community celebration grants provide funding to help nonprofit organizations and municipalities showcase the county’s culture and heritage through community events. The program has $11,050 available for such grants with a cap of $2,500.
Tourism advancement grants of up to $10,000 are available to support events, projects, and marketing campaigns that attract overnight visitors to the county. That program has $33,720 in total funding available for the fall grant round.
Applications for both grant programs are due by Aug. 25. More information and applications are available online.
