The Rochester–based Bonadio Group is rebranding its information risk-management (IRM) practice as FoxPointe Solutions.
Bonadio’s IRM practice has operated for 12 years, the firm noted in a news release.
Its services include cybersecurity; HITRUST matters; payment card industry (PCI) compliance; information technology internal audit; and penetration testing, Bonadio Group said. HITRUST is a Frisco, Texas–based data-protection standards development and certification organization, per its website.
Bonadio sees FoxPointe as “building on more than a decade’s experience providing enterprise risk management (ERM) and cybersecurity services,” per its release.
John Roman, who joined the Bonadio Group in 2018 as CIO, will serve as president and COO of FoxPointe Solutions.
“FoxPointe Solutions is a new entity, but we’re not starting from the ground floor. Our expert professionals, years of experience, resources and partnerships that we’ve built under the Bonadio Group will all carry over,” said Roman. “We’re excited to expand the scope and availability of these important IRM services at a time when the security landscape is increasingly complex and challenging for all companies.”
Besides Roman, FoxPointe’s management includes executive VPs and co-founders Carl Cadregari and Charlie Wood.
FoxPointe has a total of 15 employees, each of whom is located in several of Bonadio’s Upstate offices, Bonadio Group tells BJNN in an email. With the exception of one new hire, all FoxPointe employees have worked with the Bonadio Group, the firm says.
FoxPointe staff working from Bonadio’s Rochester office will service Syracuse–area clients.
FoxPointe Solutions “serves as an extension of the Bonadio Group’s efforts” to help businesses evaluate and address “threats and gaps” in their existing processes and systems. The firm will continue to offer IRM services to current clients and prospects through FoxPointe Solutions, whose services will also be available to companies independent of the Bonadio Group.
