GEDDES, N.Y. — The NAPA Auto Parts Syracuse Nationals, the largest car show in the Northeast, is shifting to a Thursday-to-Saturday schedule in 2026, running July 16–18 at the New York State Fairgrounds in the town of Geddes.
The show has usually operated with a Friday through Sunday schedule.
The change is “designed to enhance the overall show experience for participants, vendors, and fans alike, offering more opportunities to enjoy the best hot rods, customs, classics, and muscle cars from across the country,” per Wednesday’s announcement from the Syracuse Nationals.

“Launching the show on Thursday gives us the opportunity to start with big energy — celebrity appearances, a car cruise, and a kick-off party — and finishing on Saturday ensures the event ends at its peak,” Grazi Zazzara, co-owner of the Syracuse Nationals, said in the announcement. “The Syracuse Nationals has always been about building traditions while also adapting to make the show better every year. This new schedule creates a smoother flow for participants and an even more exciting experience for fans.”
2026 schedule
The announcement included a list of scheduled events for the 2026 car show.
Registration pick up begins Tuesday, July 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and continues through Saturday in the Grey parking lot (inside gate 6 of the State Fairgrounds).
In addition, the participants picnic has moved to Wednesday, July 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Oneida Shores County Park.
As the week continues, the new opening day on Thursday will include celebrity appearances, an on-grounds show car cruise, and the official Syracuse Nationals kick-off party.
The awards show is now set for Saturday, July 18 inside the Expo Center, with the start time to be announced.
Organizers also note an exclusive camper perk — all 7-day campers will receive a special Syracuse Nationals swag bag at check-in.
