SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Chiefs have postponed the season’s first two baseball games against the Rochester Red Wings.
The postponement is “due to impending storms and the threat of rain during Thursday afternoon and Friday throughout the day,” the team said in a statement issued Thursday.
Saturday’s game will remain as scheduled at 1:05 p.m. and will be the Chiefs’ home and season opener, weather permitting.

Under the “Guaranteed Win” promotion, “if the Chiefs win and/or the temperature is below 53 degrees at first pitch, then fans may exchange their opening-day ticket for one ticket to any future Chiefs home game in April or May.”
Fans can exchange tickets for the Thursday and Friday games for a ticket to any remaining Chiefs game of equal or lesser value at the Syracuse Chiefs ticket office, the team said.
