POTSDAM — The State University of New York (SUNY) Board of Trustees named Dennis Hefner interim president of SUNY Potsdam this week.
John Schwaller announced in November he would step down from the post of SUNY Potsdam president at the end of the 2012-2013 academic year. Hefner was president of SUNY Fredonia from 1996 to 2012.
His appointment at SUNY Potsdam is effective June 1. His annual salary will be $225,000.
