GEDDES, N.Y. — The New York State Fair says it’s launching a Fairgrounds alert system for the upcoming 2025 Fair.
The state is encouraging fairgoers to text NYSF to 888777 to subscribe to the system, per the Aug. 6 announcement. The system provides real-time updates on weather, security, and other important information via text message.
The Fairgrounds alert system will be active for the 13-day Fair and during year-round events as well.

Our commitment to safety is ongoing, and we remain vigilant, adaptable, and proactive in safeguarding everyone who joins us each year.”
The Fairgrounds alert system is further supported by integration with the National Weather Service, which will provide advanced warnings of dangerous weather conditions.
The State Fair starts Aug. 20 and continues Labor Day on Sept. 1. All concerts are included in the price of admission.
