ITHACA, N.Y. — New York will hold a public auction in Ithaca for state-owned land soon to be vacated by the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT).
The eight-acre property is located at 683 Third St. on Cayuga Lake Inlet in Ithaca. The event is set for Sept. 15, the office of Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.
Originally announced in May 2018, the move of the DOT maintenance facility from the waterfront to a new, 15-acre location adjacent to the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport will “enhance” agency operations and open up “prime” waterfront property for development in Ithaca.
