CICERO, N.Y. — SRC, Inc. announced it will use a $1.5 million contract to develop a new tool to combat chemical threats against the military.
The U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) awarded the contract, SRC said in a news release.
SRC is a nonprofit corporation headquartered in Cicero that focuses on areas that include defense, environment, and intelligence.

Under this contract, SRC and DTRA will develop a new tool called Computational Rapid Identification and Scientific Threat Analysis (CRISTAL) Combined Logical Estimation Application for Rapid Results (CLEARR). The new “predictive cheminformatics tool” will help decision makers and countermeasure developers by providing “rapid access to critical information,” SRC said.
