SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Spectrum has awarded the Westcott Community Center in Syracuse a $20,000 Spectrum Digital Education grant for its broadband computer learning lab and launch.
The funding is part of the company’s five-year, $7 million commitment to digital education in Spectrum communities across the country, per its announcement.
Westcott Community Center will use the funding to train and support older adults with broadband-technology instruction, assess their needs for connection, and help them develop skills to “build better and fuller lives,” Spectrum said.

Spectrum on Friday presented a check and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Westcott Community Center, which is located at 826 Euclid Ave. in Syracuse.
