SIDNEY, N.Y. — New York State Police in Sidney (Chenango County) announced they have arrested Wendy A. Kinchoy, age 41 of Apalachin (Tioga County), for the misdemeanor of 3rd degree identity theft.
State Police say an investigation revealed that Kinchoy was hired to provide home health care to an individual in Guilford in Chenango County. Kinchoy is accused of stealing the victim’s credit card and making an unauthorized purchase in June.
Kinchoy on July 20 responded to the State Police barracks in Sidney, where she was arrested. She was issued an appearance ticket to respond to the Town of Guilford court on Sept. 3.
