Sitrin describes its NeuroCare program as the “first and only long-term care program of its kind in Upstate New York for persons with Huntington’s Disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).”
The initiative provides “specialized” long-term care services for these “devastating diseases that currently have no known cures or treatment to slow their progression,” per Sitrin’s news release.
“From our interactions with local residents, including medical professionals, educators, as well as college students, we determined there was interest to learn more about our program and the level of care we are providing to individuals affected by ALS and Huntington’s Disease,” Marc DePerno, outreach coordinator for Sitrin’s NeuroCare program, said in the release. “People also wanted to know about new employment opportunities available at Sitrin, especially in the nursing field.”
Sitrin staff will be available to answer questions and provide details about potential job openings.
