NEW HARTFORD — Sitrin Health Care Center of New Hartford announced that Richard Wilson will step down as president and CEO.
He’s stepping down after 27 years of service, the organization said in a news release.
Christa Serafin, the center’s CFO, assumes the role of CEO on June 1, the organization said in a news release.

Following the transition of power, Wilson will become Sitrin’s vice president of strategic development.
“I’m looking forward to staying on in a different capacity, which will allow me the opportunity to oversee existing and new construction projects and continue to develop unique programs,” Wilson said in the news release.
During his time as CEO, Wilson led the health-care facility through more than 12 expansions, including the creation of a residential model of long-term care, and the Cedarbrook Assisted Living and Enriched Housing facility, according to the organization.
The facility’s employee count grew from 100 to nearly 650 during his tenure as CEO, Sitrin said.
Since 1999, Serafin has been responsible for all financial aspects of Sitrin and its seven corporations. She is a certified public account, the organization said.
