SYRACUSE — The Scotsman Media Group has announced Courtney Rae Kasper as associate publisher of editorial as well as editor-in-chief of Today’s CNY Woman.
Most recently, Kasper served as senior editor for Today’s CNY Woman, a publication that Scotsman owns and publishes. She previously was associate editor of Dance Teacher magazine, which is based in New York City, Scotsman said in a Friday news release.
Kasper started in her new position on Feb. 12.

In addition to overseeing editorial content and design of all of Scotsman’s media products, Kasper will also be responsible for maintaining the profitability of Today’s CNY Woman, while supporting advertising efforts for all of the company’s publications, Scotsman said in the release.
Kasper earned a master’s degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, the company said.
Kasper has been an “integral” part of the Scotsman Media Group for more than two years, William Veit, president of the Scotsman Media Group, said in the news release.
Incorporated in 1954, the Scotsman Press, Inc., which does business as the Scotsman Media Group, publishes The Valley News, Today’s CNY Woman, The Finger Lakes Vacationer, and other specialty publications.
The company also serves hundreds of other publications through its commercial-printing services to customers throughout Central New York.
