
The Reading League — a Syracuse–based national nonprofit whose mission is to advance the awareness, understanding, and use of evidence-aligned reading instruction — has appointed Sarah Gaffney to its board of directors. Gaffney, VP of enrollment management at Onondaga Community College, has a proven track record of driving data-informed enrollment strategies that ensure access, inclusion, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of a diverse student population. Her career in higher education began with coordinating concurrent enrollment programs, where she quickly stood out for her ability to build meaningful partnerships between high schools and the college. Gaffney holds an associate in applied science degree in business administration from SUNY Canton, a bachelor of science degree in business/economics from SUNY Oneonta, and an MBA degree from Clarkson University.
