SYRACUSE — The Sutton Cos., a Syracuse–based real estate firm, brokered the sale of the 71,000-square-foot Gouverneur Center at 471 E. Main St. in Gouverneur.
The retail center, located on about 7.5 acres, is on the main highway running through the North Country region of upstate New York. Larry Socia, retail director with Sutton, represented the purchaser, Consolidated Properties, LLC, and Dominic Pavia, president of Pavia Real Estate Services, represented the seller, Gouverneur Center Development, LLC.
Financial details of the sale were not disclosed.

Kinney Drugs uses rear space in the center as a warehouse for their corporate headquarters, which is located across the street. The new owners plan to improve the property with exterior building and grounds renovations and may look to expand the center in the future, according to Sutton.
