SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Price Rite continues its efforts to hire employees for its store at 611 South Ave., which it plans to open in April.
The supermarket chain is working to hire nearly 100 employees for the 35,000-square-foot location, the company said in a news release.
The positions include cashiers, stocking clerks, produce, deli, and meat department staff and supervisors.

Price Rite has been working with the nonprofit Jubilee Homes of Syracuse Inc., along with city, county, and state officials to bring the new store to “an area designated as a food desert,” or an area “with limited access to fresh food,” Price Rite said.
Jubilee Homes of Syracuse has owned the property at 611 South Ave. since 2009.
The store will also serve as a retail anchor tenant along the South Avenue corridor, Price Rite contends.
Price Rite operates 63 stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Virginia.
Price Rite already operates a Syracuse store at 1625 Erie Boulevard East.
Keasbey, New Jersey–based Wakefern Food Corp. is the parent company of Price Rite.
