NEW BERLIN — Dan Stedman joined Preferred Mutual Insurance Co. as director of commercial lines this week. Stedman brings the insurance firm more than 30 years of commercial-lines underwriting experience and more than 20 years in leadership with a national/regional carrier, the company says.
Stedman earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego, and his professional designations include chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU), associate in underwriting (AU), competent Toastmasters management (CTM) and associate in reinsurance (ARE).
“Dan has a proven track record of leading superior underwriting performance in the areas of growth and profitability for middle market, national accounts, surety bonding and inland marine,” Brian Lopata, senior vice president of profit center operations & customer relations at Preferred Mutual Insurance, said in a news release. The company didn’t name Stedman’s previous employers in the release.
