SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney has announced that the county has hired Live Nation Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: LYV) as the concert promoter for the Lakeview Amphitheater.
Onondaga County and Live Nation have forged a three-year agreement with options for four additional years, Onondaga County said in a recent news release.
Beverly Hills, California–based Live Nation “has been busy lining up acts” for the first full concert season at the $50 million Lakeview Amphitheater, according to the release.

The promoter will start announcing artists and dates “in the near future,” it added.

Next summer the Lakeview Amphitheater shows will be as fantastic as the view.”
“Live Nation is delighted to be part of the inaugural season at Lakeview Amphitheater and looks forward to bringing the best live entertainment to Central New York for the next three years,” Jim Koplik, Live Nation president of Upstate New York / Connecticut, said.
The Lakeview Amphitheater opened late this past summer with a concert by country music star Miranda Lambert.
