VERONA, N.Y. — The Oneida Indian Nation on Thursday opened The Lounge with Caesars Sports, the new sports-betting venue at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona and Point Place Casino in Sullivan.
The Oneida Nation is working with Caesars Entertainment on The Lounge, which is also referred to as a sportsbook.
The Lounge with Caesars Sports is also anticipated to open at Oneida Indian Nation’s Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango later this summer, in time for the NFL regular season. The Oneida Nation didn’t provide a specific date.

Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO, and Walt Fales, SVP of strategic development of Caesars Entertainment, told the crowd at a Thursday morning event at Turning Stone how this branding and marketing effort “brings together two industry leaders that will cultivate the ultimate sports-fan experience.”
“The Lounge with Caesars Sports” venues include LED (light-emitting diode) terminals with high-definition (HD) resolution; odds boards that “constantly” update and offer opportunities for in-game wagers; along with bars, ticket windows, seating, and “VIP areas with their own dedicated TV screens,” per an Oneida Nation news release.
At Turning Stone, “The Lounge with Caesars Sports” is located at the resort’s main entrance. It includes a 500-square-foot curved LED screen, visible from three sides. It also has an additional 16 large LED TVs throughout the sportsbook, including a mix of 65-inch screens and 85-inch screens.
The new sportsbook at Point Place Casino is located within the newly expanded gaming floor, with the primary video wall featuring a 24-foot HD LED screen, plus an additional 30 LED TVs throughout the space — a mix of both 65-inch screens and 85-inch screens.
Themed as the “Ultimate Tailgate,” sports fans from across the region attended the opening event, sampled menu items from the new sportsbook menu and mingled with mascots and cheerleaders from local sports teams, the Oneida Nation said.
