UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County officials on Friday reported that the county had 15 new coronavirus cases in the last day. The number of active cases rose but stayed below 100.
Oneida County also reported the following COVID-19 statistics on Friday:
- the 15 new positive cases take the total to 2,212 (1 is a nursing-home resident)
- 96 active positive cases (up 13 from Thursday)
- No new COVID-19-related deaths, 117 total
- 8 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County — 7 MVHS, 1 Rome Memorial (up from 7 yesterday)
- 1 patient hospitalized in Oneida County is a nursing-home patient receiving acute care at MVHS
- 1 patient is hospitalized outside of Oneida County (unchanged)
- 1,999 patients have recovered (up 2 from Thursday)
- 91,453 total negative results.
- 93,665 total tests have been conducted.
- 96 in mandatory isolation (up 13 from yesterday)
- 742 in mandatory quarantine (down 46 from a day prior)
The county’s infection rate was 0.89 percent in the last day, with 15 positives out of 1,688 total tests.
