MARK MEIER has joined the Vestal office of AXA Advisors, LLC. He studied business administration at SUNY Broome and Alfred State University. In addition, Meier has earned FINRA series 7 and 66 securities registrations and his life, accident, and health insurance license. 

MARY GEISS, D.O. has joined St. Joseph’s Health, St. Joseph’s Physicians Primary Care, in Cicero where she will provide patients with osteopathic-medicine services. She earned her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Alfred University. Geiss previously worked as an attending family medicine provider at the Elbridge Family Medicine Center. 

Medical technologist, JESSICA BURMASTER, has been appointed director of the laboratory services department at Rome Memorial Hospital. After working for Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) for 15 years, she was most recently employed as assistant laboratory supervisor at Slocum Dickson Medical Group in New Hartford. Burmaster graduated from Utica College with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her certificate in clinical laboratory science from George Washington University. Burmaster completed her master’s degree in public health at Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida. 

PENNY SEYMOUR has been named talent acquisition specialist for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). She is responsible for the full life cycle of talent-acquisition activities. Prior to joining MVHS, Seymour held various positions at Upstate Cerebral Palsy in Utica, including HR assistant II, benefits specialist, HR generalist and recruiter. She most recently served as the senior recruiter for UCP since August of 2017. Seymour received her associate degree in early childhood education from Herkimer County Community College.

AMBER WEAKLEY and IAN FARRELL have joined the account teams of CXtec.

Weakley is an account representative on the commercial team. She first joined CXtec as a business development representative. Before that she was a manager of esthetics and training at the La Fleure de Beaute Day Spa. Weakley has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Columbia College.

Farrell is an account representative on the health-care team. Prior to joining CXtec, he worked as insurance agent and as a national account manager for a local distribution company. Farrell has a master’s degree in political science and government from Binghamton University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from SUNY Oswego.
