Siena: Upstate, statewide consumer sentiment rise in Q3

Consumer sentiment in upstate New York was measured at 92.3 in the third quarter, up 1.6 points from 90.7 in the second quarter. New York manufacturing index posts small increase in October

The Empire State Manufacturing survey general business-conditions index rose 2 points to 21.1 in October, signaling some acceleration in the pace of growth in New York’s manufacturing sector. Northern Credit Union converts to state charter

WATERTOWN — The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) has approved Northern Credit Union’s application to convert its charter to conduct business to a New York State charter, effective Oct. 18.  Prior to the conversion, Northern Credit Union operated as Northern Federal Credit Union, the DFS said in an Oct. 1 news release.
