CHA Consulting, Inc. (CHA) has hired CASSONDRA RASMUSSEN as an assistant system analyst to work on electric distribution design projects. She is experienced with GIS applications and GPS technology in both academic and professional settings and is a certified notary public. Rasmussen received her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the SUNY Plattsburgh.

Tioga Downs Casino Resort has added PAUL SHEPPARD, a veteran of the casino industry, to its leadership team as executive director of gaming operations. He has been in the gaming and hospitality industry for 23 years, starting as a steward at the age of 18 and transferred to a dealer at the age of 19 in Ontario, Canada at Casino Niagara. Since then, he’s worked his way up to management, successfully leading teams at casinos in major markets across the country. He most recently spent six years in Maryland.

HCR Home Care has added AMANDA CHRISTIAN, physical therapist to its Central New York operations in Oneida County. SHANARA TAYLOR has joined HCR as a home health aide in its Onondaga County operations. 

ADAM P. MASTROLEO and NICHOLAS P. JACOBSON have joined Bond, Schoeneck & King’s Syracuse office as associates in its labor and employment department.

Jacobson is an experienced litigator defending employers in employment discrimination and retaliation matters. In addition to private employers, he also represents school districts in all facets of litigation. Jacobson graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree and is a 2014 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law.

Law clerk KALEIGH MORRISON has joined Barclay Damon’s Syracuse office. She is a member of the branding, trademarks & copyrights practice area. Morrison recently passed the New York State Bar Exam and will soon be admitted to practice in New York. She previously worked as a trademark intern at Ladas & Parry, LLP. Morrison graduated from New York Law School. 

BRENT AMES has joined BCI-Empire and BCI-Koch Divisions as the new regional sales manager. He is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Ames began his corrugated career with Packaging Control Corporation (PCC) in York, Pennsylvania and spent 13 years with PCC as sales manager. Most recently, he spent 11 years with York Container in York, Pennsylvania as senior sales representative. 

The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) has hired IRV LYONS, JR. as chief development officer and LORNA OPPEDISANO as marketing & development coordinator. Lyons, a retired Army Veteran with 20 years of service, is the former executive director for the Cayuga Community Health Network and award-winning local musician. His previous roles include director of sales and marketing for two local hotels and The Onondaga Nation area; recruiting supervisor for Onondaga Community College; Onondaga County human rights commissioner; the first executive director of The Native American Service Agency; and founder of Lyons Diversity and Teambuilding. Lyons also produces the annual Stage of Nations festival in Hanover Square. Oppedisano is the former managing editor of Syracuse Woman Magazine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. ERIC HERMANN has been promoted to senior director of guest services, and WENDY LOVE to administrative specialist & manager of strategic initiatives. Hermann has been a member of the MOST team since April 2017. Love has been a member of the team at the MOST for four years. 

DeCarolis Truck Rental, Inc. has promoted two long-term executives. MICHAEL J. MARGARONE, president since 2009, has been named president and CEO. MARK C. WILLIAMS, VP of finance since 2008, has been named VP and chief financial officer.

Margarone has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Tampa. He joined the firm 30 years ago and performed in previous positions as lease account salesperson, branch manager, VP of sales, and executive VP. Margarone currently manages the executive team. He has vast transportation industry experience and has served on the board of The Trucking Association of New York and the Rochester Transportation Council.

Williams, who joined DeCarolis in 1988, graduated from St. John Fisher College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance. He has had wide-ranging and increasing levels of responsibility and now heads finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, legal, and the administrative departments.
