UTICA — The Mohawk Valley Association of Realtors (MVAR) has appointed Ann Rushlo as its new executive officer and announced the 2019 MVAR board of directors and MLS board of managers.

Rushlo comes to MVAR after 10 years as executive director of Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV), and a prior career in banking & mortgage sales management with HSBC. She began her role at MVAR on Nov. 14 and has since become certified as the organization’s professional standards administrator. 

MVAR said its board members for 2019 include President Diana Raymond, Coldwell Banker Prime Properties; President-Elect Amanda Reinfelds, Coldwell Banker Faith Properties; Treasurer Calvin Lyon, Pondra’s Homes & Hearth Realty; Secretary Barbara Goldsmith, Assist 2 Sell Buyers & Seller’s 1st Choice; Past President Azza Giorgi, Howard Hanna CNY Inc.; as well as board members David Paciello, One Realty Partners, and Art VanVechten, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services CNY.

The MLS board of managers for 2019 includes President Adeline VanDyke, Weichert Realtors Premier Properties; VP Melissa Clark, Coldwell Banker Prime Properties; Secretary / Treasurer Anthony Fumarola, Howard Hanna CNY Inc.; Jay Groah, Better Homes and Gardens Select; Nicholas Mancari, Assist 2 Sell Buyers & Sellers 1st Choice; Natalie Roth, Benn Realty, LLC; and Keith Vincelette, Coldwell Banker Faith Properties. 

The Mohawk Valley Association of Realtors was first chartered in 1915 as the Utica Real Estate Board, later merged with the Herkimer & Rome Boards, and in 2012 became the Mohawk Valley Association of Realtors. 

New York farms produced 131.6 million eggs in November, down 4 percent from 137.1 million eggs in the year-earlier period, the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) recently reported.

The total number of layers in the Empire State rose less than 1 percent in November to 5.47 million from 5.42 million a year prior. 

New York egg production per 100 layers totaled 2,406 eggs in November, down nearly 5 percent from 2,528 eggs in November 2017.

In neighboring Pennsylvania, egg production fell slightly to 689.6 million eggs in November from 694.4 million eggs a year earlier, the USDA reported. 

Nationally, U.S. farms produced nearly 9.1 billion eggs in November, up more than 3 percent from less than 8.8 billion eggs a year earlier, the USDA reported.
