MICHAEL LONGO, a systems development manager, was recently promoted to VP at NBT Bank. Longo joined NBT Bank in 2012. After successfully completing its management development program, he became a member of the systems development team and advanced to his current role in 2017. Today, he is responsible for overseeing digital and analytics strategy along with a team of employees who implement technology to enhance the employee and customer experience. Longo, a resident of Norwich, earned his master’s degree in computer information systems from Boston University and his bachelor’s degree in economic analysis and mathematics from Binghamton University. 

CRISTINA HATEM, director of strategic marketing and communications, and MEARA MOSNY, communications coordinator, recently joined Syracuse University Libraries’ marketing & communications team. Hatem and Mosny will focus on marketing and communications activities that advance the libraries’ mission and vision.

Hatem is an experienced marketing communications leader who previously worked at WCNY, JADAK, Preferred Mutual Insurance Company, and Mower, among others. She currently serves on the board of directors of OnPoint for College. She received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and master’s degree from Le Moyne College.

Mosny most recently worked as marketing manager for the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival and Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. She is a graduate of Le Moyne College’s Madden School of Business, with a bachelor’s degree.

LORI SHARPE has been named VP of sales and distribution at Preferred Mutual Insurance Company. She will be responsible for managing and driving sales, with a key focus on profitability, retention, and agency management strategies. Sharpe’s insurance career spans more than 25 years with expertise in deepening agency relationships to drive premium growth, profitability, and revenue for independent agents. Most recently, she was the assistant VP & regional manager, business development at a national property and casualty insurer where she oversaw sales and distribution for a five-state region. Sharpe also served as director and state manager of business development, where she led key business-development initiatives into new territories as well as the expansion of current agency territories. Sharpe has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rutgers University and has earned her certified insurance counselor (or CIC) designation.

WCNY, Central New York’s public broadcaster, has hired KYLE LAATSCH as senior designer. Laatsch previously was a custom print and graphic design manager at Boxcar Press, prepress specialist at The Image Press, and production manager at BCT of Upstate New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from SUNY Oswego.

CARLY VIOLANTE has joined WCNY as a digital marketing coordinator. Violante is a graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

LOU SANDOUK has joined One Realty Partners as a licensed real-estate salesperson. He brings more than 35 years of commercial real-estate experience to the firm and has held his broker license in both New York and Florida. Sandouk will work from the firm’s headquarters office in New Hartford. His specialty is commercial sales and consulting. He will also play a key role in residential sales as well as procuring other growth opportunities. 

Sutton Real Estate Company announced it has recently hired SHELLY CASTERLINE as controller. Casterline has more than 20 years’ experience in the real-estate accounting industry. She is a graduate of Le Moyne College and is a Central New York native. Casterline will supervise Sutton’s accounting department, handle strategic fnancial planning, manage the company’s financials, and oversee the financials of the properties Sutton currently manages.
