MPW Marketing, a full-service advertising and marketing firm in Clinton, recently added VERA CHAPMAN to its staff as account manager. Her role is to become the in-house expert on each of her clients. Chapman comes to MPW with a strong background in client services, project management, and organization. She previously held roles as career advisor and associate director of career development at Colgate University in Hamilton, where she advised students and alumni how to market themselves to potential employers. Chapman has also served as an online instructional assistant professor at the University of Mississippi for the past two years and an online instructor at Augusta University for the past year. She has a doctorate in higher education administration and a master’s degree in education (counselor education) from the University of Mississippi; an honors degree in psychology from the Stellenbosch University; and a bachelor’s degree in human physiology, genetics, and psychology from the University of Pretoria, both in South Africa. 

Mower has appointed DOUG KAMP as its chief creative officer, overseeing all of the agency’s creative efforts. He comes to Mower after serving as head of creative at Gyro. Kamp started his career at TBWA and then spent nine years at J. Walter Thompson as a senior partner and creative director. Before joining Gyro, he served as group creative director with Bagby and Company. During his career, Kamp has played a lead creative role on brands like Sony, USG, Aflac, Tag Heuer, International Trucks, Samsung, Miller Brewing, John Deere, Transamerica, and Yum Brands.

LeChase Construction Services, LLC has added TIM WINTERS as a project manager in its Syracuse office. In this role, he will manage, develop, maintain, and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases. Those functions include but are not limited to safety, construction planning, and cost-control procedures. Winters has 35 years of experience overseeing commercial and industrial construction projects in Central New York. He began his career as a carpenter, later earning one-year degrees in drafting and building construction from SUNY Canton.

CenterState CEO has hired two new employees for its Innovation and Entrepreneurship portfolio: SARAH HOOD as director of the Clean Tech Center at the Tech Garden and JOE ROMANO as resource manager responsible for the development, management, and expansion of business, technical, and financial resources for the members of the Tech Garden. Additionally, JEFF FUCHSBERG has been named as the new director of Genius NY.

Hood most recently served as program manager for Saab Corporation and also served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. She earned an MBA from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in public relations and communications from Jacksonville State University. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, class of 2019.

Romano is managing a system to vet, receive feedback on, and engage with Tech Garden members’ requests or needs. Additionally, he is an entrepreneur in residence at the Tech Garden. Romano most recently served as an information technology solution provider consulting with small to medium-sized companies on technology management, technology planning, business process improvement, and the operations of medium to high-technologies businesses. As director of GeniusNY, Fuchsberg manages the programming and support for companies in the Genius NY program, administered by CenterState CEO’s Tech Garden. He recently served as senior director of innovation projects at the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation in El Paso, Texas.

Fuchsberg holds a bachelor’s degree in entomology with distinction in research, from Cornell University, and a juris doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law with an advanced certificate in technology commercialization law from the New York State Science & Technology Law Center. He is also certified as a business incubator manager by the International Business Innovation Association.

CHA Consulting, Inc. (CHA) has promoted JAMES STEPHENSON to CEO of CHA Holdings, Inc. and president of CHA Consulting, Inc., as of Jan. 1, 2020. He succeeds Michael Carroll, who transitions to chairman of the board for CHA Holdings. Stephenson joined CHA in May 2019 as executive VP and chief strategy officer, bringing more than 20 years of broad strategy, financial, and corporate-development experience. Prior to joining CHA, he was the chief strategy officer at a top 20 ENR ranked company, where he was responsible for structuring a five-year strategic growth plan focused on executing acquisitive growth and strategic investments that helped position the company as a leader in innovation and each of their operating sectors. 

Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt has added ROBERT CATALINA to its staff. He is a professional engineer licensed in the State of New York with more than 10 years of experience in structural design, construction document development, and construction administration. Catalina studied at University at Buffalo, receiving a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering as well as a master’s degree in engineering in structural and earthquake engineering.

AMBER MEZA has been named human resource information systems (HRIS) specialist at Mohawk Valley Health System. In this position, she will serve as a technical point of contact assisting business process owners. Most recently, Meza was an IT business analyst at PAR Technology Corp. in New Hartford, where she provided change-management support for the implementation of a new ERP system. Prior to that, Meza worked in human resources at the Rescue Mission of Utica as an HR generalist. She received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.

CH has hired LARRY ALAMPI as its new head of business development. He comes to Syracuse–based CH after a 20-year career in banking, including more than a decade of in commercial lending. He most recently worked at KeyBank as a VP and business banking relationship manager for the last three years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that, Alampi was employed by First Niagara, before it was acquired by KeyBank. He also previously worked at HSBC in various roles. He is a graduate of Le Moyne College.

Unity House has named a new director for the agency’s staff — RYAN MORRELL, director of the PROSperity mental health program. In his new role, he is responsible for direct oversight of six staff and monitoring of all operations for the agency’s Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program. Morrell holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from SUNY Cortland, and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from SUNY Oswego. He was most recently the director of criminal & family court programs at Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc.
