AccessCNY has promoted KRISTEN SNYDER to become the next program director for Day Habilitation and The David Clark Learning Center. Since 2014, she has worked in AccessCNY’s employment services program — first as an employment counselor and subsequently as the employment services program manager. Before coming to AccessCNY, Snyder received a bachelor’s degree in inclusive education and political science from SUNY Buffalo State College. She also worked supporting students with disabilities as a teacher’s assistant and lead preschool teacher in several childcare settings. 

Loretto announced it has promoted KARA GEMMELL to director of independent living at The Nottingham. Formerly the director of therapeutic recreation, she started at Loretto in 2017. Gemmell holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and policy; therapeutic recreation, and a minor in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. She is a certified therapeutic recreation specialist and a member of the LeadingAge New York IGNITE Leadership Academy.
