ROB KEISTER has joined the counter-sales team at Johnstone Supply’s 835 Canal Street location in Syracuse. He brings 33 years of HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration) experience to the wholesale distributor’s contractor and facilities-maintenance customers. For the past 20 years, Keister has owned and operated Gerry’s Heating in Liverpool. 

KRISTIN M. OSTIGUY has joined Beardsley Architects + Engineers as an electrical designer. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with an environmental-sciences immersion. During her time at RIT, Ostiguy served as program assistant for the Women in Engineering office, which is dedicated to increasing representation of women in engineering and preparing women for leadership roles within the profession. At Beardsley, she will be working on projects for governmental and commercial clients.

Oswego Health recently promoted DAVE RUEL to senior director of ancillary services. He began his career at Oswego Health in 1994 as a CT technologist and advanced to senior CT technologist in 2001, RIS/PACS administrator in 2007, RIS/PACS administrator and CT/MRI supervisor in 2012, before becoming director of medical imaging in 2014. In this new position at Oswego Health, Ruel will oversee the lab, pharmacy, physical therapy, and dietary, along with continuing to oversee the Medical Imaging Department.

TRACY MYERS has joined the medical staff of Geneva General Hospital at 196 North St. in Geneva, in its hospitalist department. She received her master’s degree in adult gerontology/acute care nurse practitioner from Duke University and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Niagara University. Myers is certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

AAA Western and Central New York has promoted STACEY MCCONNELL to VP of insurance for AAA Members Insurance Agency of Western and Central New York, Inc. Formerly director of insurance sales & service operations, she will begin her new role immediately. McConnell will be responsible for the strategic direction of the organization’s insurance operation, with an emphasis on growing AAA’s insurance presence throughout the greater Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse areas. She joined AAA Western and Central New York in 2017 and has been responsible for sales and service operations. McConnell has 16 years of insurance experience, including a strong background in auto and property sales and service. Her background includes roles as an agent, supervisor, trainer, and manager throughout various divisions at GEICO. McConnell is a licensed property and casualty agent and holds an active life insurance license. She is a graduate of Daemen College. McConnell works from the AAA Amherst Travel & Insurance Center. She replaces David Hodge, who has taken a new role as sales executive at CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurance carrier and partner.

JEANINE M. CRYAN has joined Scolaro Fetter Grizanti & McGough, P.C. following her recent law school graduation, in anticipation of taking the New York State Bar Exam in September. She is a 2020 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, where she was a trustee scholar. Cryan was the editor-in-chief of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce and a member of the Travis H.D. Lewin Advocacy Honor Society (Moot Court). Her experience includes working as a transactional team intern in the legal department of Christie’s auction house, working as a summer law clerk at Hughes Hubbard & Reed, and an externship in the EMEA Legal Department of State Street Global Advisors in London, England. Prior to law school, Cryan was the recipient of a Fulbright U.S. Student Award to Greece. During her time as a Fulbright Fellow in Athens, she taught English at Athens College/Hellenic-American Educational Foundation. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she studied classics (Ancient Greek and Latin) and education. 

AccessCNY has promoted KRISTEN SNYDER to become the next program director for Day Habilitation and The David Clark Learning Center. Since 2014, she has worked in AccessCNY’s employment services program — first as an employment counselor and subsequently as the employment services program manager. Before coming to AccessCNY, Snyder received a bachelor’s degree in inclusive education and political science from SUNY Buffalo State College. She also worked supporting students with disabilities as a teacher’s assistant and lead preschool teacher in several childcare settings. 

Loretto announced it has promoted KARA GEMMELL to director of independent living at The Nottingham. Formerly the director of therapeutic recreation, she started at Loretto in 2017. Gemmell holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and policy; therapeutic recreation, and a minor in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. She is a certified therapeutic recreation specialist and a member of the LeadingAge New York IGNITE Leadership Academy.
