SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Schenectady–based MVP Health Care is moving its Syracuse office to the Washington Station building at 333 W. Washington St. in Armory Square and will begin operations there on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
MVP’s current local office is at 120 Madison St. in Axa Tower 2.
The new 28,000-square-foot office is “more retail friendly, is located on a bus line and has nearby parking,” MVP said. The company will have 20 employees working there.

The health insurer said it was making the move this week. The move is part of a larger, companywide effort to “improve” consumer access for people buying individual health-insurance policies.
“Locating ourselves where people are already going about their daily activities will make it easier for members and potential members to reach us at their convenience. Upgrading our Syracuse location, coupled with the roll out of our new community outreach vehicles throughout New York state, exemplifies some of the new ways we are making our quality health-insurance products even easier to learn about and purchase,” Denise Gonick, president and CEO of MVP Health Care, said in the news release.
MVP Health Care says it has more than 700,000 members in New York and Vermont.
The company serves nearly 567,000 members in New York, including more than 62,000 in Central New York, according to the 2015 Book of Lists.
