UTICA, N.Y. — The Office of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) will host an open house on Jan. 31.
It’s scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Wilcox Hall, room 225, on the Utica campus.
SUNY’s Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program helps prepare students for success at MVCC and beyond. It is designed to promote academic achievement and excellence through support services, including academic advising, collaborative learning workshops, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

EOP provides access, academic support, and financial assistance to first-time, full-time students who demonstrate potential for college success and may benefit from additional support throughout their academic journey, MVCC said.

MVCC’s announcement included a schedule of the day’s events, which includes:
- Breakfast: 10-10:30 a.m.
- EOP presentation: 10:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Learn about program benefits, eligibility requirements, and the application process.
- Talk and Tour: 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
Campus tour led by current EOP students and staff.
- Lunch: 12-1 p.m., resident dining hall
- Workshop: 1-2 p.m.
