UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Community College’s (MVCC) Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM) on Thursday will host a free Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (TAAC) grant workshop for manufacturers.
The event is scheduled between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the thINCubator, located at 326 Broad St. in Utica.
MVCC contends that manufacturers “will benefit from this workshop” if they’ve had had a decrease in sales and employees in the past 36 months resulting from foreign competition.

Inflation and Insurance Rates: How to Offset the Impact
Many industries have been hit by inflation where it hurts the most, our pockets. Inflation is raising the price of goods and services including food, housing, transportation, and medical care.
Manufacturers can learn how other manufacturers statewide are benefitting from the program, MVCC said.
Local TAAC representative Theresa Stockton also will be on hand to help attendees learn how they can qualify for the additional funding and how to complete the application process.
Qualified manufacturers may receive grants up to $75,000, according to the news release.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop. To pre-register, call Joann Dickson at the AIM office at (315) 624-9800.
