BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Binghamton–based planning, engineering, and construction-services firm McFarland Johnson is expanding its reach in Texas with a new office in Brownsville.

The expansion into the Rio Grande Valley is a major milestone for the company’s growth in Texas and across the southern United States.

“Whether working on a regional roadway system or developing aviation infrastructure, our goal is always the same: to deliver sustainable, impactful solutions that benefit our clients and the communities they serve,” Jennifer Conway, McFarland Johnson’s land development regional manager for the Brownsville office, said in an announcement. “We are honored to now call the Rio Grande Valley home.”

The office will also serve as McFarland Johnson’s regional hub and opens at a time of continued infrastructure investment and regional growth in Texas.

“It’s great to return to my roots where my family was born and raised,” McFarland Johnson President Chad Nixon, a Texas native, said. “We look forward to serving the valley and growing our presence in South Texas.”
