ROME, N.Y. — New York State Police announced Tuesday that they have arrested a Rome man after he allegedly seven checks from a family member, signed, and cashed them at various banks across the city.
On Monday, State Police in Lee arrested 31-year-old Louis M. Gisondi of Rome, for seven counts of 2nd degree forgery (a felony), seven counts of 2nd degree felony criminal possession of a forged instrument, one count of 4th degree grand larceny (a felony), and one count of attempted petit larceny (a misdemeanor).
He is accused of cashing checks totaling more than $1,000. State Police didn’t reveal the banks where the checks were cashed.
