SALINA, N.Y. — Lockheed Martin Rotary and Missions Systems has been awarded an almost $40 million long-range radar contract with work to be completed in Colorado and the Syracuse area.
The $39.65 million definitive contract for “Long Range Radar 3 provides for the necessary equipment, transportation, installation, test, training, spares, engineering services, hardware, software, program management and data as defined by the Special Operations Wing to deliver [the radar] and technical refreshes to other integrated systems,” according to a Defense Department contract announcement issued this week.
Work will be performed at Lockheed Martin’s Littleton, Colorado, and Salina, New York plants, and is expected to be completed by December 2022.
