SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Kinney Drugs, Inc. and the Franciscan Companies on Wednesday announced the launch of an online home-health store.
The new e-commerce site offers home medical and respiratory equipment, which are available through home delivery, the organizations said in a joint news release.
Patients can access the online home-health store through the Kinney Drugs and Franciscan Companies websites, or by visiting www.franciscancompanies.com/shop.

Patients can shop on the website by product category, such as mobility aids, bathroom safety and orthopedic supplies, or by health condition, such as arthritis, COPD (short for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), asthma, and diabetes.
The product offerings include home medical products and supplies, such as walkers, power scooters, oxygen concentrators, bed rails, and bath seats.
Kinney Drugs is “excited” to be collaborating with Franciscan Companies to develop the new online home-health store, Rick Cognetti, vice president of marketing and merchandising for Kinney Drugs, said in the release.
“We are equally excited to offer patients and caregivers increased accessibility to home medical and respiratory products that will improve the mobility and independence for our patients,” said Cognetti.
For Franciscan’s patients, home is where “they prefer to be,” Frank Smith, Jr., president and CEO of Franciscan Companies, noted in the release.
“The new Online Home Health Store is essential because it provides fast and convenient access to everything they need to live comfortably,” said Smith.
Kinney Drugs is a division of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., a pharmacy health care company that has been providing pharmacy, health, and retail services for more than 110 years.
Franciscan Companies, an affiliate of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, has for nearly 30 years operated a network of health-care services that it says allow people to live at home.
