SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse football’s 2025 season-opening matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers in the Aflac Kickoff Game will have a 12 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff on ABC.

The announcement was made during Disney’s Up Front, highlighting “marquee” week one college football contests, Syracuse University Athletics said in its Tuesday announcement.

Syracuse and Tennessee will face each other in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, Aug. 30 during Labor Day weekend.

Both teams finished the 2024 campaign as part of the Top 20 of the final Associated Press poll and posted 10-win seasons.

In the first season under new head coach Fran Brown, the Orange finished No. 20 in the national poll, defeating three ranked teams during the 2024 season. The Vols made their first trip to the College Football Playoff in 2024, before falling to the eventual national champion Ohio State Buckeyes in the 8-9 game in the first round.

It was also announced on Monday that Syracuse’s Nov. 22 game at Notre Dame will be part of NBC’s schedule for Irish football home games this season. The kickoff time for that game is 3:30 p.m. Eastern.

The Orange’s home opener against the UConn Huskies is set for Sept. 6 and the team will again host Colgate less than a week later on Friday, Sept. 12. The kickoff times for both the UConn and Colgate games in the JMA Wireless Dome have yet to be announced.
