DeWITT — Inficon (SIX Swiss Exchange: IFCN) earned $10.3 million in the first quarter, up slightly from $10 million a year earlier.
Earnings per share for the period totaled $4.64, up from $4.53 in the first quarter of 2011. Net sales declined 1.3 percent to $80.7 million.
Inficon, based in Switzerland, produces high-tech instrumentation, sensors, and process-control software. The firm’s products are used in manufacturing devices like smartphones, flat-screen TVs, and even solar cells.
