CNY Office Products will now operate as Hummel’s Office Plus. It’s slated to remain open at its location of 839 State Route 13 in Cortland.
Hummel’s plans to retain all of the acquired company’s employees. CNY Office Products founder, David Stark, is retiring. But his wife, Lynn, will stay with the company as a part-time staff member. That means the acquisition adds three full-time workers and a part-time employee to Hummel’s workforce, which was about 80 people before the deal.
In addition to the new Cortland location, Hummel’s Office Plus has retail stores in Herkimer and Rome. It also has a sales office in Syracuse. Its headquarters is an 80,000-square-foot office complex and distribution center at 25 Canal St. in Mohawk, Herkimer County.
