UTICA, N.Y. — The federal government has awarded Utica–based Human Technologies Corp. a two-year, $45 million contract to provide third-party logistics and supply-chain management services.
The U.S. Department of State awarded the contract for logistics and services on equipment, security accessories, uniforms, and warehousing, along with freight-logistics services, Human Technologies said in a news release.
Human Technologies’ logistics & manufacturing division is a registered international traffic in arms regulations (ITAR) broker and exporter.

The nonprofit Human Technologies describes itself as a “social enterprise with a mission to create employment for people with disabilities.” Besides its headquarters in Utica, the organization has operations throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and northern Virginia.
Since 2013, Human Technologies has provided procurement, supplier management, materials-management services, inspection, assembly, kitting, warehousing, and domestic and international freight logistics to numerous bureaus within the State Department, including anti-terrorism assistance (ATA), special program for embassy augmentation and response (SPEAR), worldwide protective services (WPS), international narcotics & law enforcement (INL), and African peacekeeping and rapid-response partnership (APRRP).
Established in 1954, Human Technologies says it employs more than 300 people and generates more than $40 million in annual revenue, 99 percent of which are from sales of its products and services.
The nonprofit develops, invests in, and manages “numerous” lines of business. They include facilities management and environmental services, apparel and equipment supply-chain services, uniform-management services, and manufacturing and packaging operations.
