UTICA, N.Y. — The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce has announced the 15 finalists for its 2017 Business of the Year Awards.
The organization will name the winners at its annual Business of the Year Awards luncheon, which is set for Dec. 13 at 12:00 p.m. at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro.
The event begins that day at 11:00 a.m. with networking and beverage tasting, featuring local beer and wine and holiday music from the Whitesboro High School jazz band.

The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce will present awards to winners in five separate categories. They include For-Profit Business with Over 50 Employees; For-Profit Business with 50 Employees or Fewer; Not-For-Profit with Over 50 Employees; Not-For-Profit with 50 Employees or Fewer; and new this year, the Catalyst Rising Business Award.

The chamber says it evaluated and selected the finalists based on criteria that included:
1) Staying power, response to challenges, product(s)/ services(s) innovation; growth within their industry
2) Commitment to the Mohawk Valley Region – longevity in region; community involvement; public service; business leadership and
3) Involvement in the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce.
