VESTAL — Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey will open its second Broome County store this year on Dec. 6.
The Vestal store, located at Campus Plaza, 3701 Vestal Parkway East, will open less than three months after Goodwill’s store in Binghamton. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Bringing our stores to the Vestal/Binghamton area is the first step to establish partnerships in Broome County,” Goodwill President and CEO William Forrester said in a news release. “We are eager to meet with the local business and SUNY communities and offer good quality clothing and household items to area residents.”

The Vestal store will provide retail training and jobs for up to 15 people, some of them people with disabilities, according to Goodwill. The 10,000-square-foot store will offer new and used clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, electronics, books, records, CDs, DVDs, and other household items.
The store will take donations Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. before opening.
Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey serves 100,000 people annually in 34 counties in the New York and the 10 most Northern counties of New Jersey. The nonprofit’s mission is to empower people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to gain independence through work.
