UTICA, N.Y. — Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan with 1.5 million members, has announced the opening of a downtown Utica community office.
The organization on Wednesday held a formal opening for the new 2,100-square-foot office, which is located at 209 Elizabeth St. in Utica.
Staffed with Fidelis Care representatives, the office can provide help for current and prospective members on renewing their health-insurance coverage, coverage choices, and applying to enroll in a plan.

“Our new Utica community office will allow us to provide our members and other residents with personal one-on-one time and a new accessible space to hold workshops and events with community partners,” Pam Hassen, chief marketing officer of Fidelis Care, said in a news release.
The Fidelis Care Utica community office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Open enrollment for health-care coverage through NY State of Health, New York’s health-plan market place, started Nov. 1 and continues through Jan. 31, 2017, Fidelis Care noted in its release.
