BINGHAMTON — Cost Cutters, a family hair-salon franchise, on May 31 announced the opening of its Binghamton location at 10 Glenwood Ave. in the Price Chopper Plaza.
Regular salon services include adult and kids’ haircuts, along with shampoos, hair coloring, and perms. Cost Cutters also carries professional hair-care products including Paul Mitchell and Redken, the company said in a press release.
The Binghamton location is among 730 Cost Cutters locations throughout the U.S., the company said.

Cost Cutters is a concept of Edina, Minn.–based Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS), which owns, operates, and franchises hairstyling and hair-care salons in the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Puerto Rico, and internationally, according to Yahoo Finance.
As of December 31, 2012, the company owned, franchised, or held ownership interests in approximately 10,000 locations, including 9,259 salons located in North America, 381 international salons, and approximately 245 locations through the company’s investment in affiliates, according to the Yahoo Finance summary.
