UTICA, N.Y. — Conduent Education Services, LLC has notified New York State it is planning to lay off 33 employees at its facility at 501 Bleecker St. in Utica.
Conduent Education filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) with the New York State Department of Labor on Jan. 11 telling the state it would be laying off the workers on April 13.
“Change in business needs,” was listed as the reason for the layoffs. The workers that will lose their jobs are not represented by a union, according to the WARN filing.
